As part of the cross-partner validation process in the MAAS (Match, Attach, Sustain) project, Trim Tab AB engaged its team of experienced job brokers to review and test the MAAS eGuide. The validation focused on assessing the usability, practicality, and real-world relevance of the eGuide for daily work with job seekers, employers, and particularly within the tourism sector and refugee support.
The MAAS (Match, Attach, Sustain) project (2023-1-SE01-KA220-VET-000159421) is an EU-funded initiative aimed at strengthening the role of job brokers in supporting employment, especially in the tourism sector and for vulnerable groups such as refugees. By developing innovative methods, digital tools, and training resources, the project equips job brokers to meet new labour market challenges and provide better guidance to both job seekers and employers.
Why Job Brokers’ Expertise Matters
Job brokers today face a profession in transition. Their role goes far beyond simply matching people with vacancies: it now requires deeper engagement to ensure successful job attachment and sustained employment. This shift demands new methodologies, digital competences, and innovative guidance techniques—especially in the tourism sector and in work with refugees and other vulnerable groups.
With strong expertise in coaching, recruitment, employer outreach, and matching, Trim Tab’s team is ideally positioned to provide feedback that reflects real labour market needs. Their input not only identified strengths of the eGuide but also generated valuable recommendations on structure, clarity of language, and use of multimedia features.
Contribution to Project Objectives
This activity directly supports the goals of the MAAS project by making sure the eGuide reflects the real challenges job brokers face today. By involving both practitioners and employers, the validation process helps ensure the guide is practical, easy to use, and genuinely useful for training and everyday work. It also strengthens the eGuide’s value as a tool that can be applied across Europe, while staying relevant to urgent needs such as helping Ukrainian refugees integrate into the labour market.
Next Steps
The insights gained at Trim Tab are feeding into the wider validation process across all partner countries. Together, this collective feedback will shape the final version of the MAAS eGuide, ensuring it becomes a practical, multilingual, interactive learning resource.
A special thank you goes to all the experts at Trim Tab who contributed their time, expertise, and perspective. Theur involvement is central to making the MAAS eGuide a tool that truly reflects the needs of job brokers and Swedish labour market today.
